Welcome to Doris Venner Pre-school

The Doris Venner Pre-School was established in 1973 and since then has been committed to providing a stimulating and caring environment for 18 months to 5 year olds. We are situated in the Doris Venner Community Hall, on Manor Drive in Worcester Park. This provides us with 2 large halls and an outside play area.

We run morning sessions from Monday to Friday 9:15am – 12:15pm. Afternoon sessions from Monday to Friday 12:30pm – 3:30pm. Full day from 9.15am – 3.30pm

We also have SUNSHINE CLASS which is a smaller provision within Doris Venner specifically catered to supporting children with autism, ADHD, Social communication difficulties and speech and language delay. We are also very proud to have won the nursery world inclusion practice award in September 2024

FUNDING 

All 3 & 4 year olds can access up to 15 hours universal funding per week. Some children of working families will be eligible for a further 15 hours per week, known as extended entitlement. Hours will total a maximum of 30 hours per week 

Working families of children from 9 months may be eligible for 30 hours of funding per week

2 Year Funding (FEET Funding) some families may be eligible for 15 hours of funding, please apply via Kingston Early Years Information Services for your code.

Parents may access their funded hours over 2.5 days (i.e. 2 full days and one half day, either AM or PM). We are flexible with preferred days and families can pay for additional sessions not covered by funding. Please phone the pre school for more information

We are OFSTED registered (131807) and are proud that our child to staff ratios exceeds national guidelines. We welcome visits by prospective parents, please phone to book a viewing.  We provide a broad and balanced curriculum, adopting a free flow approach.
